Succession Ministries

Succession Ministries

Succession Ministries was developed years ago as a part of DRM (Derrick Reeves Ministries) for the purpose of developing young ministers into the appropriate spiritual sonship model through:

1. Counseling

2. Seminars

3. Training

4. Mentoring

5. Shut-ins & Retreats

thus enabling them to understand the blessing in being sons and daughters in ministries to pastors and senior pastors. In many cases after leavng seminars younger ministers or even ministers that have served faithfully come back to their home church and feel slighted and become even rebellious thinking that they are being undermined by their pastors. I do not believe that an individual should stay with an abusive pastor but I also believe that many pastors are trying to prepare individuals to work in their ministries in accordance to Biblical standards.
Many ministers of local assemblies feel that they are only effective if they leave and start their own ministries and this is the farthest thing from the truth. In scripture ministers never left but were ordained which means commissioned to go or sent. In particular when the New Testament church began there was set into motion a system of government and the pastor no longer was the prime leader of the church or community. Even Apostles were subject to rules and to Chief Apostles. As a matter of fact individuals were not made apostles until they were to be sent out to do a work. Keep in mind that the term Apostle means "sent one or commissioned one"
Succession Ministries seeks to advice and teach ministers the dynamics of true order in ministry and the nature of the Spiritual Father and Son or Daughter relationship. God is not the author of confussion nor rebellion. God has established an order and he does not violate that order. Derrick Reeves Ministries will be addressing many of the dynamics and concepts of the subject of succession, what it is and how true succession works.
